There’s a reason movie stars and models use personal trainers: The benefits of working with a personal trainer is one of the fastest, easiest, most successful ways to improve your health and fitness.

The primary reasons people hire trainers are:

  • balance

  • coordination.

A trainer will monitor your progress and fine-tune your program as you go, helping you work your way off plateaus. They are used to reach a healthy weight or put on muscle mass. Body fat reduction, weight reduction, body shaping and toning can all be achieved with the aid of a qualified personal trainer.

The Energy Method is a functional movement based system that focuses on training the body through all its lifecycles while working to prevent injury. The training is much different from tradition fitness training which focuses primarily on sculpting the physical body for aesthetics. Both eastern and western philosophies have essential wealth’s of knowledge that can help in the creation of a balanced life. Everyone is slightly different and therefore should be given very specific training for their goals.

Scientific Core Specialist
As a core specialist, I apply my knowledge of the abdominal musculature and its biomechanical relationship to the entire kinetic chain, when applied to the prevention of back pain, maintenance of good posture and optimal sports performance.

I will show you the functional anatomy of the core; support mechanisms provided by the abdominals; why tongue position is crucial when conditioning the abdominals. Faulty abdominal training can create postural problems that have a trickledown effect of the rest of the body systems.

Reestablishing activation of the abdominal wall after abdominal surgery such as caesarian section, hysterectomy and hernia repair, or any other abdominal surgery is essential. Too many mothers go from birthing to the gym without incorporating the necessary steps for rehabilitating the core which is your powerhouse to all other movements.

I personally had two caesarians 15 months apart and diastasis recti which lead to one umbilical hernia. Often knowledge is born out of necessity.

Scientific Back Specialist
As a back specialist, I use the biomechanical intricacies of stabilization exercises as a necessary prerequisite to general strengthening of torso musculature for clients on all levels-novice to elite athlete.

These techniques are essential for preventing repetitive stress disorders that lead to injury. Technique flaws, harmful to spinal structures, that encourage postural degeneration are exposed, addressed and countermanded to reestablish optimal function. I also look into daily routines to uncover and eliminate any potential for re-injury.

Corrective Exercise Coach
In corrective work I will assess physiological load and write exercise programs to address low, moderate and high overall loads. Also addressing functional deficits and imbalances in the core and back musculature help restore lost function. I strive for a more balanced autonomic nervous system and teach how optimizing posture not only improves function, but overall wellness. We work on stretching and corrective mobilizations that strengthen the body –many people believe increased flexibility means increased strength which is far from accurate.

Injury and surgery often takes years to recover from and often times the way people get back into fitness is not optimal and creates a waterfall of future aliments. Every cut on the body takes both a physical and energetic toll-both must be addressed. Correct rehab is essential for vitality and pain-free movement.

A degree of trust and respect must be mutual- without these the training will not succeed.
